Nikos Kouros

Nikos Kouros, born on March 20, 1928, in Chalkida, Greece, was an esteemed actor whose contributions to theatre, cinema, and television spanned several decades. He pursued a diverse education, studying Law at the University of Athens, as well as piano and singing at the Athens Conservatory. His passion for the performing arts led him to the drama school of the Hellenic Conservatory, where he honed his craft.

Kouros made his theatrical debut in 1957 with the Anna Lori - Alki Papas troupe at the "Dionysia" theatre in Kallithea. His talent soon garnered attention, and he became a prominent member of the prestigious Art Theatre - Karolos Koun for many years, before exploring opportunities with various other theatre companies.

In addition to his stage work, Kouros expanded his career to include film and television roles. He also made a mark as a cultural commentator, serving as an announcer for theatrical and literary programs and as a political commentator at the National Broadcasting Corporation from 1954 to 1957. His involvement in directing and literary pursuits further showcased his multifaceted talents.

Nikos Kouros passed away on October 24, 2018, in Athens, leaving behind a rich legacy in the Greek performing arts and a profound influence on future generations of artists.
