Paul Feig (born September 17, 1962) is a prominent American filmmaker, known for his contributions as a director, producer, screenwriter, and actor. He gained widespread recognition for directing hit films, including Bridesmaids (2011), which was a game-changer in female-led comedies, The Heat (2013), Spy (2015), Ghostbusters (2016), A Simple Favor (2018), and Last Christmas (2019). Feig frequently collaborates with actress Melissa McCarthy, leading to a string of successful projects.

In addition to his film work, Feig is the creator of the cult classic comedy series Freaks and Geeks (1999–2000), which has since garnered a loyal fanbase and critical acclaim.
