Charles "Chuck" Reisner (March 14, 1887 – September 24, 1962) was a prominent American filmmaker and actor recognized for his contributions to the film industry during the 1920s and 1930s. Over the course of his career, Reisner directed more than 60 films from 1920 to 1950, showcasing his versatility and creativity in various cinematic genres.

In addition to his directing prowess, he also showcased his acting talent in over 20 films from 1916 to 1929. Notably, he appeared alongside the legendary Charlie Chaplin in the classic silent films "A Dog's Life" (1918) and "The Kid" (1921), cementing his place in film history.

One of his significant directorial achievements came in 1930 when he helmed "Chasing Rainbows," a musical produced by MGM featuring acclaimed performers Bessie Love and Charles King. This film further demonstrated Reisner's ability to work within the musical genre, contributing to the vibrant cinematic landscape of the era.

Reisner's life came to an end in La Jolla, California, where he passed away from a heart attack in 1962. His legacy as a director and actor remains an integral part of early American cinema, reflecting the evolution of film during a transformative period in entertainment history.
