Malik Bentalha
Malik Bentalha, born on March 1, 1989, in Bagnols-sur-Cèze, is a prominent French comedian and actor with Algerian and Moroccan roots. Known for his engaging stand-up performances, Bentalha has also made a mark in the film industry.
Bentalha's journey in entertainment began with his studies at Cours Florent, where he honed his craft for a year from 2007 to 2008. He soon captivated audiences with his sketches in Parisian café-théâtres, notably at the Théâtre du Point-Virgule. His breakthrough came in 2010 when he caught the attention of comedian Jamel Debbouze, leading to his inclusion in the Jamel Comedy Club. He spent the next two years as the opening act for Debbouze's tour, "Tout sur Jamel," and later impressed Gad Elmaleh, who invited him to open for his show at the Palais des Sports.
In 2011, Bentalha expanded his reach with a segment on the radio program "Le Grand Direct," hosted by Jean-Marc Morandini. He later joined Cyril Hanouna’s "Les pieds dans le plat" on Europe 1 in 2014. His first one-man show, "Malik Bentalha se la raconte," directed by Alex Lutz, has been a hit since its debut in 2010, culminating in a DVD release in December 2014 and a live broadcast on W9 in January 2015.
Bentalha also ventured into film with a significant role in the 2015 movie "Pattaya," directed by Franck Gastambide. Beyond his professional accolades, he is dedicated to philanthropy, serving as a godfather for the Theodora Children's Charity.
