Steven Weed

Steven John Weed hails from Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he began his artistic journey as an actor, writer, director, and film editor. He pursued his passion for the performing arts by studying film and contemporary theater at Washtenaw Community College, quickly transitioning into acting.

In 2017, Steven made significant strides in his career by writing, starring in, and co-directing the film 'Residents,' which premiered at the Michigan Theater. His talent was further showcased in the award-winning film 'Midnight Light,' directed by Peter Herold, where he earned a Best Actor nomination at the Westfield International Film Festival. The film itself was recognized as a contender for Best Short Narrative Drama.

The following year marked a new chapter in Steven's life as he relocated to Brooklyn, New York, and took on a leading role in the short film 'The Flower on the Road.' This film was well-received, debuting at the LA Under the Stars Film Festival and winning the Audience Choice Award in 2021.

Steven's impressive body of work includes projects such as 'Cut Throat' (2022), directed by Dolores M. Flynn, 'Neutrals' by Jacob Horne, and the Tubi series 'Street Legal' Season One, which solidified his reputation in the Metro Detroit area. In 2024, he starred in the film 'MIA,' inspired by true events and directed by Petros Georgiadis, which premiered in New York.

With a comprehensive understanding of filmmaking, both in front of and behind the camera, Steven continually pushes the boundaries of storytelling, often delving into themes of human conflict and exploring complex narratives through symbolism.
