Anup Bhandari

Anup Bhandari, a talented filmmaker with a background in software engineering, was born to Rathna Bhandari and renowned director Sudhakar Bhandari. He completed his engineering studies at the Vidya Vikas Institute of Engineering & Technology (VVIET) in Mysore, India, before transitioning into the world of cinema. Anup made a significant mark with his directorial debut, RangiTaranga, released in 2015. The film garnered widespread acclaim and emerged as one of the standout Kannada films of the year, earning multiple prestigious awards, including the Filmfare Award for Best Film.

Anup's multifaceted contributions to RangiTaranga included writing the screenplay, composing the music, and penning the lyrics, which earned him the Filmfare Award for Best Director alongside the IIFA Utsavam Awards for Best Music Director and Best Lyrics. Following this success, he continued to build his filmography with bilingual projects such as Rajaratha and Rajaratham.
