Kathleen O'Malley

Mary Kathleen O'Malley (March 31, 1924 – February 25, 2019) was a versatile American actress whose career spanned over seven decades, showcasing her talents in both film and television. Born to vaudeville performer Pat O'Malley, Kathleen made her entry into the entertainment industry as a mere infant, appearing in the silent film My Old Dutch in 1926 alongside her father and sister Sheila.

Throughout her illustrious career, O'Malley featured in a wide array of notable films, such as Cover Girl, Lady on a Train, and Two Tickets to Broadway. She also graced the small screen with memorable roles in classic television series including Gunsmoke, Maverick, Rawhide, Leave It to Beaver, and the long-running soap opera General Hospital. One of her last television appearances was in the 1973 episode "Blind Terror" of Barnaby Jones, showcasing her enduring presence in the industry.

O'Malley’s final acting role came in 1998 with the American crime drama Buddy Faro, rounding out a career that left a lasting impact on audiences. She passed away on February 25, 2019, at the age of 94 after battling Alzheimer's disease, leaving behind a legacy of cherished performances and contributions to the world of entertainment.
