Mizuo Peck
Mizuo Peck was born in New York City, New York, and has a diverse heritage that includes Japanese, Irish, English, and Cherokee roots. She completed her education at Fiorello LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in 1995 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from SUNY Purchase in 1999. Peck began her artistic journey with the TADA! Children's Theater Company, where she was an active participant from the age of 11 to 14. Currently, she resides in New York City and is best known for her portrayal of Sacagawea in the 2006 film Night at the Museum, a role she reprised in its sequel, Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian.
In addition to her film work, Peck has appeared in fashion editorials, having been photographed by Bruce Weber for French Vogue in 1995 and for the cover of L'uomo Vogue in 1997. Furthermore, she showcased her theatrical talents in 365 Days/365 Plays, a project by the acclaimed playwright Suzan-Lori Parks, which was staged at the Joseph Papp Public Theater. Peck’s varied career reflects her versatility and commitment to the performing arts, allowing her to shine in both film and theater.
