Sonja Ball, born on October 20, 1956, is a prominent Canadian voice actress celebrated for her versatile talents in animation and children's programming. She gained widespread recognition for her role as Jane Read, Arthur's mother, in the beloved PBS series "Arthur." Additionally, she voiced Huckle Cat in "The Busy World of Richard Scarry" and brought characters like Polly Ester to life in the English adaptation of "Samurai Pizza Cats." Her portrayal of Nicole in the "Madeline" TV specials further showcased her unique vocal abilities.
In a delightful twist, Ball also lent her puppetry skills to the character Wimzie, a spirited bird-dragon, in the children's series "Wimzie's House."
