Yannis Tsortekis

Yiannis Tsortekis, born in 1967 in Neo Psychiko, Athens, is a prominent Greek actor and director known for his extensive work in cinema, television, and theater. He completed his studies at the National Theater and earned a degree in Theater Studies from the University of Patras, laying a strong foundation for his illustrious career.

Tsortekis gained considerable recognition for his role in the television adaptation of Miltiadis Karagatsis's short story "To 10," which aired on Alpha TV during the 2007-2008 season. His film career includes notable performances in "The Little Fish" and "The Ballad of the Holey Heart," the latter earning him the "Best Actor" award in 2021. That same year, he appeared in the ERT1 series "Postcard," further solidifying his presence in the acting community.

In 2022, Tsortekis showcased his versatility with roles in three different productions: "Dark Sea," "Maestro" by Christoforos Papakaliatis on MEGA, and "This Night Stays" on Alpha. His talents have not gone unrecognized; in 2009, he received the prestigious "Karolos Koon" award for his outstanding performance in the play "Black Calm" by Dimitris Maronitis.
