George Arrendell

George Arrendell, born in Antwerp in 1968, is recognized as a pioneering Afro-European actor and a multifaceted artist. He is the eldest son of a South American percussionist and a Belgian painter, and he is fluent in English, Dutch, and French. In the 1980s, George initially earned his keep as a breakdancer and rapper while honing his performance skills. After completing high school, he ventured into modeling across Europe, but his passion for acting ultimately took center stage.

In 1996, George pursued formal training at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York City. Upon returning to Europe, he quickly established himself in the entertainment industry, becoming a prominent figure in Belgian television as the first Afro-European actor to achieve significant recognition in the region. One of his most notable roles was as Inspector Jimmy N'Tongo in the acclaimed Belgian police drama "Zone Stad" (Zone City), which garnered a nomination at the 2009 Monte Carlo Television Festival.

Beyond his work in Belgium, George has appeared in various British and Canadian films, including "Falling Through," "Christie Malry's Own Double-Entry," "High Speed," and "She, Me and Her," filmed in Luxembourg alongside notable actors like Roy Scheider and Peter Weller. With training in Strasberg, Meisner, and Chekhov techniques, George Arrendell continues to captivate audiences with his diverse talents and contributions to the arts.
