James Seah emerged as a standout contestant in “Star Search 2010,” where he secured a spot among the Top 10 finalists. A graduate of Nanyang Polytechnic, he captivated audiences with his striking looks and charm, consistently achieving impressive scores throughout the competition. Despite battling chicken pox during the final stages, he persevered with the help of suppressant injections, showcasing his determination.

Although he did not reach the top three, his suave persona attracted significant attention, leading to a management contract with MediaCorp. James made his acting debut in early 2011 as a young designer in the web drama “Let’s Play Love,” shortly before fulfilling his national service.

After two years in the army, he returned to the screen in 2013 with “Mata Mata,” an English drama set in the turbulent backdrop of 1950s-60s Singapore. His versatility shone through in 2014 when he starred in “The Caregivers,” his first full-length Chinese drama about healthcare professionals.
