Camille Coduri
Camille Coduri, born on October 8, 1965, in Wandsworth, London, is a prominent English actress renowned for her portrayal of Jackie Tyler in the iconic series Doctor Who, where she appeared from 2005 to 2010. Her role as the mother of the companion Rose Tyler, played by Billie Piper, became a significant part of the show's revival, making her a beloved figure among fans.
In addition to her work on Doctor Who, Coduri has showcased her talent in various film comedies, including Nuns on the Run (1990) and King Ralph (1991). Her extensive television career features guest appearances on well-regarded British shows such as Rumpole of the Bailey, A Bit of Fry and Laurie, and A Touch of Frost. Notably, she starred in the BBC's adaptation of The History of Tom Jones, a Foundling, in 1997, and was featured in the 2006 drama series Sinchronicity on BBC Three.
Coduri also gained attention when she participated in the Doctor Who-themed episode of The Weakest Link aired on March 30, 2007, where she emerged victorious, sharing her prize of £16,550 with charities supporting multiple sclerosis and young carers.
