Stephy Tang Lai-Yan
Stephy Tang Lai-Yan is a talented singer and actress hailing from Hong Kong. She first gained fame as the leader of the popular Cantopop group Cookies. In 2017, Tang received the prestigious Hong Kong Film Critics Society Award for Best Actress for her remarkable role in "The Empty Hands." She has also been recognized with two nominations for the Hong Kong Film Award for Best Actress.
Before embarking on her entertainment career, Stephy was an accomplished volleyball player, representing Hong Kong since her first year of secondary school as a left wing spiker and libero. However, she ultimately decided to focus on her passion for performing arts. In March 2015, Tang took a significant step in her sports journey by founding her own fashion label, Loey. With support from her brand, she reassembled a women's volleyball team, taking on the role of a left wing spiker and captain, despite the limitations that her libero position posed. The team participated in open-grade C-class qualifications, achieving a record of one win and one loss. Additionally, she led Loey in charity matches against the Chinese National Volleyball team and trained with secondary school teams in Taiwan in late 2015, showcasing her dedication to both her sports and entertainment pursuits.
