Janene Carleton
Janene Carleton, the youngest of three siblings, hails from Kelowna, Canada. A multi-talented athlete from a young age, she engaged in a variety of sports and dance, but her true passion lay in competitive horseback riding. Janene excelled in show jumping and three-day eventing, competing at the national level. Her journey took a new direction when she moved to Victoria, British Columbia, to pursue studies in Biology and English at college. During this time, she also ventured into personal training, modeling, and mixed martial arts.
In 2005, Janene's extensive background in animal training and her athletic prowess paved the way for her transition into the stunt industry. Her diverse skill set quickly established her as a sought-after stunt performer in Hollywood. Over the years, Janene has doubled for some of the industry's top action stars, including Angelina Jolie, Jessica Biel, Paula Patton, and Carla Gugino.
A significant milestone in her career came in 2011 when she received the prestigious World Taurus Stunt Award for 'Best Overall Stunt Performed by a Woman.' This honor recognized her remarkable work as Angelina Jolie's stunt double in the film 'Salt,' further solidifying her reputation in the world of stunts. Janene Carleton continues to be a prominent figure in the stunt industry, showcasing her dedication and talent in every project she undertakes.
