Morgan Watkins

Morgan Watkins is a versatile English actor known for his contributions to film, television, and theatre. He honed his craft at the esteemed Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London, earning a BA in Acting in 2009.

Watkins boasts a robust portfolio that spans various mediums. His film credits include notable titles such as *Kingsman: The Secret Service*, *The Limehouse Golem*, and *A Very English Scandal*. On television, he has appeared in acclaimed series like *The Hour*, *Noughts and Crosses*, and *Chicken*. His stage work is equally impressive, with performances at prestigious venues such as the National Theatre, Almeida Theatre, and the Lyric Hammersmith, where he portrayed Len in Edward Bond’s *Saved*. He is represented by Oliver Slinger at Independent Talent.

In addition to his acting career, Watkins is passionate about teaching. He has conducted workshops and courses at institutions including Guildhall and RADA, and has collaborated with the Synergy Theatre Group to provide acting workshops for young offenders and prisoners.

In 2023, he co-founded The Base Creates with Oliver Bennett. This initiative focuses on staging readings of significant plays and encouraging dialogue with influential thinkers. They also launched The Agon, a new writing competition aimed at discovering bold new voices, with plans to continue it biennially. Furthermore, they host a drop-in drama academy and a podcast that explores intriguing ideas with notable dramatists and philosophers, aiming to inspire a resurgence of excellence in the arts.
