Chris Holmes

Christopher John Holmes, born on June 23, 1958, is a prominent American guitarist and songwriter renowned for his contributions to the heavy metal genre. He embarked on his musical journey in Pasadena, California, during the late 1970s and early 1980s. Holmes is most famously recognized as the lead guitarist for the influential heavy metal band W.A.S.P., which he co-founded alongside Blackie Lawless and Randy Piper.

Holmes's tenure with W.A.S.P. was marked by two significant periods: first from 1983 to 1990, during which the band gained notoriety for their theatrical performances and hard-hitting sound, and then from 1996 to 2001.
