Charlotte Vandermeersch
Charlotte Vandermeersch, born on November 11, 1983, in Oudenaarde, Belgium, is a talented actress and director renowned for her contributions to both theater and film. She completed her studies at the Herman Teirlinck Institute in Antwerp, earning a Master's degree in Dramatic Art in 2005. Vandermeersch has been an active presence in the theater scene, collaborating with esteemed companies such as SKaGeN, Wunderbaum, and Abattoir Fermé. Alongside Maaike Neuville, she co-created the theatrical piece "The Kiss of the Spider Woman."
Initially, Vandermeersch appeared in supporting and guest roles, but her career took a significant turn in 2010 when she starred in the hit television series "Day and Night" and the film "Turquaze." Her prominence continued to rise in 2012 when she took on lead roles in the acclaimed series "Deadline 14/10" and its sequel, "Deadline 25/5," which aired on VTM in 2014. That same year, she also showcased her talent in the feature film "Bowling Balls." Her performance in Felix Van Groeningen's "Belgica" in 2016 further solidified her position in the industry.
From 2012 to 2020, Vandermeersch was a key member of the theater group LAZARUS. In her personal life, she shares a partnership with director Felix Van Groeningen, and together they welcomed their son, Rufus, in May 2018.
