Adrian Zmed
Adrian Zmed was born on March 14, 1954, in Chicago, Illinois, to George Zmed, a Romanian Orthodox priest, and his wife, Persida. He is a versatile actor best recognized for his roles in the television series T.J. Hooker (1982) and films such as Bachelor Party (1984) and Grease 2 (1982). Zmed has been married to Lyssa Lynne since October 5, 2012, and his previous marriages were to Barbara Fitzner and Susan Wood.
Zmed's journey into acting began after a serious injury sidelined his high school football career at Lane Tech High School. After breaking a leg bone and damaging a major artery, he shifted his focus to the performing arts, first appearing in the school production of Guys and Dolls. His talent was soon recognized on a local television program that celebrated Chicago's standout high school performers. This exposure led him to enroll at the Goodman School of Drama, where he honed his skills and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.
His breakout role came when he was cast as Danny Zuko in the national touring production of Grease. Zmed's connection to this iconic character continued as he took on the role multiple times on Broadway, including a notable performance alongside Jeff Conaway, who portrayed Kenickie in the original 1978 film. In 1995, Zmed reprised the role of Danny Zuko for the revival, showcasing his enduring appeal in the theater world.
