Robert Beauvais
Robert Beauvais (March 6, 1911 – February 23, 1982) was a prominent French writer and journalist known for his literary contributions. He experienced two marriages during his lifetime; first to Gisèle Parry and later to Ginette Garcin. From his initial union, he welcomed a daughter, Élisabeth Beauvais, who pursued a career in music under the name Clothilde. Throughout his life, Beauvais cultivated friendships with notable figures such as Guy des Cars, Jacques Rueff, Maurice Boitel, and Françoise Sagan, all of whom were influential in the literary and artistic circles of the time. Several of his literary works were adapted for film by Jean Yanne, bringing his stories to a broader audience. Beauvais's legacy is commemorated in the village of Audresselles, where he rests in peace. His contributions to literature and journalism continue to be recognized, reflecting a life dedicated to the written word and a vibrant network of artistic relationships.
