Michael D'Cruze is an accomplished actor, celebrated for his diverse roles across stage and screen. He honed his craft at the Guildford School of Acting, where he was honored as Student of the Year in 1986. Recently, he portrayed the character Kaidu, a menacing uncle, in the world premiere of Shan Khan's play *Heer Ranjah (Retold)*, produced by Ankur Productions at Tramway in Glasgow. D'Cruze also contributed to the National Theatre's tour of *Rafta Rafta*, a production that garnered the Best New Comedy award at the Olivier Awards.
His film and television credits include notable performances in *Secret Weapon*, *Tina Moddotti*, *Stop Bleeding*, *HMS Discovery*, *Casualty*, *EastEnders*, *The Bill*, *Doctors*, and *Saracen*. In theatre, he has taken on significant roles such as Malvolio in *Twelfth Night*, Tony in the critically acclaimed *I Know What You Want* at the Edinburgh Festival, and Chino in *West Side Story* at the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham. His versatility is further showcased in productions like *Jesus Christ Superstar* and *Dick Whittington*, where he played King Rat.
Beyond acting, D'Cruze has made his mark as a director with productions such as *She Stoops to Conquer* and *Into the Woods*. He co-founded the Co-Active Theatre Factory (CAT Factory) and currently leads Persona Acting, an acting school he runs alongside his sister in Brighton. His voice work has also been recognized, winning a Gold Advertising Award in New Zealand for the AC Delco campaign.
