Alison Mosshart

Alison Nicole Mosshart, born on November 23, 1978, is a prominent American vocalist, songwriter, and artist, best known for her dynamic roles as the frontwoman of the rock duo The Kills and the alternative rock supergroup The Dead Weather. Mosshart's musical journey commenced in 1995 when she became a member of the Florida punk rock ensemble Discount, which enjoyed a run until its dissolution in 2000.

In 2000, she relocated to London and co-founded The Kills with British guitarist Jamie Hince, who previously played with bands Scarfo and Blyth Power. The duo gained critical acclaim for their raw sound and distinctive style, with Mosshart adopting the stage persona "VV" while Hince went by "Hotel." The Kills released several influential albums, solidifying their place in the rock scene.

In early 2009, Mosshart expanded her musical repertoire by joining The Dead Weather, a project initiated by Jack White, alongside musicians Jack Lawrence and Dean Fertita. The supergroup's innovative sound and collaborative spirit garnered significant attention, further showcasing Mosshart's versatility as an artist.
