Josie Bissett
Josie Bissett, hailing from Seattle, embarked on her journey in the entertainment industry at the tender age of 12, starting off as a model featured in print ads and television commercials. By 16, she made a bold move to Japan to enhance her career prospects, and shortly after turning 17, she relocated to Hollywood to pursue her aspirations further.
Her breakout role came when she was cast as 'Cara' in "The Hogan Family," where she showcased her talent for two seasons. Just two years after arriving in Los Angeles, Josie secured a role in the iconic series "Melrose Place," quickly establishing herself as one of the most recognized faces on television. In recent years, she has displayed her versatility by taking on a variety of engaging roles in productions such as the ABC movies "The Fire Above" and "Dare to Love," as well as the FOX telefilm "Deadly Vows" and the USA movie "Baby Monitor: Sound of Fear." Notably, she starred in the ABC Family Channel's romantic comedy "I Do, They Don't," which revolves around two widowed parents attempting to merge their families. Additionally, she appeared in the Lifetime original film "The Other Woman," directed by Jason Priestley and based on Joy Fielding's novel, along with guest roles in series like NBC's "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit."
On the film front, Josie made her cinematic debut in Oliver Stone’s "The Doors," portraying the wife of guitarist Robbie Krieger. She followed this with roles in the comedy "Book of Love" and the thriller "Mikey."
Beyond acting, Josie has hosted a variety of shows, most recently co-hosting Lifetime's morning talk show "The Balancing Act." She previously led "Parenting & Beyond," which offered innovative parenting solutions, and the PBS special "Teach More, Love More," which explored critical stages of early childhood development through interviews with experts, including Dr. T.
