Rituparna Sengupta

Rituparna Sengupta has been passionate about the arts from a young age, immersing herself in various disciplines such as painting, dance, singing, and handicrafts at Chitrangshu, an art school. Her educational journey began at Mount Carmel School, where she laid the foundation for her creative pursuits. She later pursued a degree in History from Lady Brabourne College, which further enriched her understanding of culture and storytelling. Although she started working towards a Master’s degree in Modern History at the University of Calcutta, her burgeoning career in acting prompted her to pause her academic studies.

As an accomplished actress, Rituparna has left an indelible mark on the Indian film industry, particularly in Bengali cinema. She made her debut in the early 1990s and quickly gained recognition for her versatile performances. Over the years, she has starred in numerous critically acclaimed films, earning several prestigious awards, including multiple Filmfare Awards for Best Actress. Rituparna's notable works include films such as "Shakha Proshakha," "Dahan," and "Baishe Srabon."
