Andrea Moor
Andrea Moor is a distinguished actor and director who graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in 1985. With a prolific career spanning theatre, film, television, and radio, she has made significant contributions both in Australia and abroad. Upon returning to Brisbane, Andrea honed her directing talents at the Queensland Theatre Company (QTC), where she served as Resident Director and Artistic Associate. Her expertise in directing was recognized with several accolades, including the London Monthly Best Actress award at the Edinburgh Fringe in 1991 and the Gold Matilda for her direction of "Venus in Fur." Additionally, she received the Matilda Award for Best Female Actor for her performance in "Switzerland." Beyond her achievements in the performing arts, Andrea holds a doctorate in Creative Industries from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), underscoring her commitment to both artistic excellence and academic inquiry. Andrea's journey reflects her dedication to the arts, making her a prominent figure in Australia’s cultural landscape.
