Katie Elizabeth Walder, the youngest of five siblings, including two brothers and two sisters, developed a passion for performance at an early age, participating in school musicals and plays. As a teenager, she ventured into the world of print modeling, gracing the pages of magazines like Teen and YM. Pursuing her passion for acting, Katie studied theatre in college, and upon completing her degree, she relocated to New York City. There, she began her professional journey in theatre, collaborating with esteemed Broadway directors such as Michael Greif, known for "Rent," alongside Keith Reddin and Daniel Aukin.
Katie soon transitioned to Los Angeles, where she made a significant mark with a recurring role as Janet Billings in the fourth season of "Gilmore Girls" (2000), portraying the quirky and athletic college roommate of Rory. Her talent has led her to numerous notable television appearances, including roles on "How I Met Your Mother" as Shannon and "Mad Men" as Sherry.
