He currently divides his time between residences in Hamburg and Berlin. Walter honed his craft at the Westfälische Schauspielschule Bochum, where he earned his diploma in 2001. His early theatrical endeavors took him to prestigious venues, including Schauspielhaus Bochum, Wuppertaler Bühnen, and Theater Aachen, where he developed a robust stage presence.

Walter gained significant recognition for his portrayal of Lars Lehnhoff in the popular television series “Stromberg,” which aired from 2005 to 2012, and he reprised this role in the feature film adaptation in 2013.
