Tina Marie Lameman
Tina Marie Lameman is a talented Cree actress hailing from the Beaver Lake Cree Nation in northeastern Alberta, Canada. Born to Al Lameman, a former chief of the Beaver Lake community, and Doreen Lameman, Tina proudly embraces her diverse heritage, which includes African Canadian roots from her mother’s lineage connected to the Enoch Cree Nation.
Her educational journey took shape in Lac La Biche, Alberta, before she completed her high school years at Blue Quills High School in St. Paul, Alberta. In 1989, she briefly studied Theatre at Grant McEwan Theatre Arts in Edmonton and further honed her craft in film acting with Zocalo Theatre in 1991.
Tina’s acting career commenced in 1992 with a minor role in the film *Road to Saddle River*, directed by Francis Damberger. However, it was her role as the female lead in the film *Mixed Blessings*, produced and directed by Ron E. Scott for Prairie Dog Films, that marked her significant breakthrough. Her exceptional performance in this film earned her recognition as the Best Actress at the Alberta Motion Picture Industry Association's Rosie Awards in 2008. With a dedication to her craft and a commitment to representing her culture, Tina continues to be a prominent figure in the Canadian film industry.
