He is the son of a real estate broker and a school teacher, and he comes from a family with a notable connection to the entertainment industry—his uncle is the celebrated Golden Globe Award-winning actor Jack Klugman. Brian is one of four siblings, including brothers Michael and Jeffrey, and sister Laurie.
