**Biography of Pramod Veliyanad**
Pramod Veliyanad, born in 1978 in the picturesque region of Kuttanad, Alappuzha district, is a prominent figure in the Indian theater scene. He is the son of KK Prakash and Vijayamma and completed his schooling at Veliyanad LP School, followed by Perunna NSS School and Changanassery NSS College. Pramod's passion for the performing arts ignited during his school and college years, leading him to embark on a remarkable 24-year journey in theater.
His theatrical debut was in the play "Oramma Peta Makkal" with Cochin Nayana, and he has since collaborated with various esteemed theater groups, including Thiruvananthapuram Ananthapuri, Chirainkeesh Anugara, and Rajan P Dev's Cherthala Jubilee. Under the guidance of his mentors, Abhayan Kalavarur and Francis T Mavelikkara, Pramod has received accolades for his comedic performances, earning the State Government Award for Best Comedian in 2007 for his role in "Rastriya Paatava" and again in 2009 for "Kadulam Kanivenna."
Pramod gained popularity through Kerala's first web series, "Navani," directed by Abhilash Sreedharan, and has acted in approximately 45 short films. His performance in the short film "Arpo" garnered him the National Award for Best Actor. He made his film debut with a small role in "Patchuvum Gopalanum" and appeared in notable films like "Swarnakaduava." Pramod's family includes his mother, his wife Prajita, a preschool teacher, and their son Pravi Karthik. He is fondly known as Pramod Veliyanad, a name that reflects his roots.
