Jim Moody

Jim Moody, born on September 25, 1949, in Portsmouth, Virginia, is an accomplished television and film character actor recognized for his versatile performances. He gained prominence for his role as Gene Daniels, the hard-hitting counselor and teacher, in the film *Bad Boys*. Moody made his feature film debut in the iconic 1980 musical *Fame*, portraying Mr. Farrell, a dedicated drama instructor. He further showcased his comedic talents in the 1983 movie *D.C. Cab*, where he played Arnie, a member of a rival taxi service. His film credits also include a notable role as Leroy Greene, Sr. in the 1985 cult classic *The Last Dragon* and a performance in the 1999 drama *The Best Man*.

In addition to his film work, Moody has made numerous guest appearances on popular television series. He featured in several episodes of *Law & Order*, taking on different characters in each appearance, and also contributed to *Law & Order: Special Victims Unit*, *Law & Order: Criminal Intent*, *Third Watch*, and *New York Undercover*.

Beyond acting, Jim has made significant contributions to the world of drama education, having taught at the prestigious LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts, where he mentored notable students, including Academy Award winner Adrien Brody.
