Catherine "Cappy" Elvir hails from the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana. She earned her degree in Theatre - Performance from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and further honed her craft at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA), specializing in musical theater and drama.
Cappy is a founding member of Gulf Coast Theatre on Tap, a dynamic rhythm tap performance ensemble established by Artistic Director Heidi Malnar approximately six years ago in New Orleans. Her involvement with this innovative company showcases her dedication to the performing arts and her ability to fuse traditional tap dance with contemporary themes.
Elvir has made significant contributions to the theatrical landscape with notable performances in acclaimed works such as "Occupy, Texas" in 2016 and "Pizza Party" in 2020.
