**Biography of János Gálvölgyi**
János Gálvölgyi, born on May 26, 1948, in Budapest, is a celebrated Hungarian actor, parodist, and voice artist, recognized with prestigious awards such as the Kossuth Prize and the Jászai Mari Prize.
After completing primary education, Gálvölgyi attended the Madách Gimnázium and trained as a photographer. He worked briefly at Révai Nyomda as a graphic artist and photographer from 1967 to 1968. His breakthrough came in 1968 when he showcased his parodic talent on the cultural talent show "Ki mit tud?"
In 1973, he graduated from the Theatre and Film Arts University, launching his acting career at the Thália Theatre. By 1993, he joined the Madách Theatre, where he remains a prominent member, renowned for his performances in comedic plays. Gálvölgyi has gained immense popularity through appearances on television shows such as "Rádiókabaré" and "Heti Hetes," and he hosted his own program, "Gálvölgyi Show," which aired monthly on RTL Klub. He is also a familiar voice in the dubbing industry, notably as the voice of Benny Hill and Harry Klein from "Derrick."
He is married to Judit Gálvölgyi (née Gács), a translator, since 1971, and they have two daughters, Eszter (born 1973) and Dóra (born 1975). His father-in-law was the renowned magician Rodolfo. In his leisure time, Gálvölgyi enjoys collecting clown memorabilia.
