Ho Sung Pak, born on November 8, 1967, in Seoul, South Korea, is a multifaceted American film actor, martial artist, action choreographer, writer, and producer. A prominent figure in the martial arts and gaming world, Pak is best known for his dual role as the main antagonist Shang Tsung and the champion Liu Kang in the iconic Mortal Kombat video games, including the original and Mortal Kombat II.

Pak's career includes significant contributions to the film industry, particularly as a stunt coordinator and performer. He worked as a stunt coordinator and double for Raphael in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze and reprised his role in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III. In 1995, he collaborated with fellow Mortal Kombat actors on an unreleased fighting game, Thea Realm Fighters, for the Atari Jaguar.

In 2003, Pak took on a leading role in the martial arts film The Book of Swords, where he played Lang, an Asian cop seeking vengeance after a tragic incident. The film featured several familiar faces from the Mortal Kombat franchise, including Daniel Pesina and Katalin Zamiar. He further showcased his skills in the 2004 martial arts film Lesser of Three Evils, which he co-produced and saw a release as Fist of the Warrior in 2009.

Pak gained additional recognition through his participation in the martial arts competition show WMAC Masters from 1995 to 1997, where he embodied the "Superstar" ki-symbol, translating his Korean name. His brother, Ho Young Pak, and fellow Mortal Kombat actors also participated in the series, further solidifying the Pak family's legacy in martial arts entertainment.
