His professional journey commenced in 2002 with the Official Formula 1 Magazine, where he worked as a staff writer until the publication's closure in 2004. In 2008, Buxton took the helm as editor of GPWeek, a digital platform dedicated to motorsport, while also providing live commentary for the GP2 Series and GP2 Asia Series.
