Takeshi Watabe was a distinguished Japanese voice actor, renowned for his compelling portrayals of villains in anime and tokusatsu. Born in KĹŤchi Prefecture, he carved a niche for himself in the entertainment industry, particularly known for his role as Kaminari in the beloved series Doraemon. Following the passing of his predecessor, Shingo Kanemoto, Watabe seamlessly stepped into the ongoing roles, ensuring continuity in character portrayal.
Throughout his career, he lent his voice to a variety of memorable characters, including Inspector Takao Arizuka in the popular You're Under Arrest series, Naoyuki Kamikurata in Aquarian Age: Sign for Evolution, Colonel John Kowen in the critically acclaimed Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory, and Director Yachio Tokugawa in the series Strawberry Eggs.
