Aleks Paunovic

Aleks Paunovic, born on June 29, 1969, is a talented actor hailing from Canada. He is well-known for a variety of roles, including the character Jim McAllister, a prospector in the drama series Arctic Air. Additionally, he portrayed Julius in the fantasy horror series Van Helsing and took on the role of the formidable warrior Wygar Oak in the second season of Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency. He is also recognized for his performance as Bojan "Boki" Boscovic in the dystopian thriller Snowpiercer.

Originating from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Paunovic’s family has a rich history of boxing, boasting "three generations of fighters." His heritage includes a Serbian father and a Croatian mother. Both his grandfather and father, along with his uncle, were celebrated boxers in Yugoslavia, and Paunovic himself was a champion boxer until a shoulder injury prematurely curtailed his athletic career. Before embarking on his acting journey, he was a member of a rock band and landed his first acting role at his very first audition. Committed to giving back, he actively supports the Red Cross and the Impact Anti-Bullying Campaign, drawing from his personal experiences with bullying during childhood.
