Oskar Liigand
Oskar Liigand, born on October 15, 1911, in St. Petersburg, was a distinguished Estonian actor whose career spanned several decades. He completed his training at Paul Sepa's private theater studio in Tallinn, graduating in 1937. Following his education, Liigand made his mark on the Estonian theater scene as a member of the Estonian Drama Theater from 1936 to 1944, where he showcased his talent and versatility.
After World War II, he transitioned to the Vanemuine Theater, performing there from 1944 to 1950. His artistic journey continued at the Ugala Theater, where he acted until 1952. Liigand's most significant tenure, however, was at the National Puppet Theater of the Estonian SSR, where he captivated audiences as a prominent actor from 1952 until his retirement in 1986.
