Mike Finn
Mike Finn is a distinguished playwright, screenwriter, and actor, renowned for his contributions to the theatre world and an Honorary Fellow at the University of Iowa. He earned his Master’s degree in Scriptwriting from the National Film School and is a founding member of Island Theatre Co., where he has both acted in over twenty productions and authored seven plays.
In 2000, Mike received the prestigious Stewart Parker Award for his play *Pigtown*, which premiered with Island Theatre Company and garnered four nominations for the Irish Times Theatre Awards before making its way Off-Broadway and to San Jose. His impressive portfolio includes notable works such as *The Quiet Moment*, *The Crunch*, and *Shock & Awe*, all produced by Island Theatre Co., as well as *Ellis Island* at Theatre USF in Florida and *Stories* with LYT. He has also written *Langered* and *One* for Balor Theatre Co., and *The Big Question* for the Institute of Excitement at Hampstead Theatre in London.
Other significant works include *The Affair on the Square*, *We Are What We Witness*, *The Revenger's Tragedy*, and *Porkville* with Bottom Dog, along with *Life in 2 Syllables* produced by Fishamble. Additionally, Mike has crafted fifteen pantomime scripts for Centrestage and wrote the book and lyrics for the musical *Soul Garden*, showcasing his versatility and creative talent in the arts.
