Mary Dawne Arden (July 30, 1933 – December 13, 2014) was a talented American actress renowned for her work in both Hollywood and Italy. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, she relocated to New York City at age 12 to pursue her passion for the arts at a local art school.

In the 1960s, Arden enjoyed a flourishing modeling career in Europe, establishing herself in the Italian film industry where she starred in several movies. She is most celebrated for her role as Peggy Peyton in Mario Bava's iconic film, *Blood and Black Lace*. In addition to her acting, Arden contributed to the film's screenplay by rewriting the English dialogue, enhancing its fluidity and impact. She also made a brief uncredited appearance in Federico Fellini's *Juliet of the Spirits* as a television personality.

Throughout the 1960s, she was featured as a performer with the June Taylor Dancers on the popular *Jackie Gleason Show*. In Italy, she became known for her work in photo novels, notably a prominent series called *Kriminal*. After eight years abroad, she returned to the U.S. in 1979, taking on a few more acting roles before retiring from film.

Arden later spent nine years in Latin America in various marketing and management roles for Helena Rubinstein Cosmetics. Upon returning to New York, she founded Arden Associates, a consulting firm specializing in marketing and body language. She also shared her expertise as a faculty member in the Department of Culture and Communication at New York University.

In 1965, she married A.A. Hansi in Rome. Mary Arden passed away at the age of 81 in Calvary Hospital, Brooklyn, on December 13, 2014.
