Morgane Dziurla-Petit
Morgane Dziurla-Petit, born in 1996 in France, is an innovative filmmaker currently residing in Sweden. She completed her studies in Cinema at the New Sorbonne University in Paris, followed by a degree in Film Production in Cannes. Dziurla-Petit enhanced her industry expertise through her roles at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival and as part of Roy Andersson Filmproduktion after relocating to Sweden in 2017.
Her cinematic works often explore the intersection of documentary and fiction, showcasing her unique artistic vision. In 2018, she released her debut short film, The Day, which gained recognition at the 41st Göteborg International Film Festival. The following year, her short film Excess Will Save Us garnered significant acclaim, winning the Best Short Film award at both the Tempo Documentary Film Festival in Sweden and the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in France. In 2020, she continued to impress with her short film Grab Them, which earned a nomination for Best Swedish Short at the Göteborg Film Festival.
Dziurla-Petit made her feature film debut with Excess Will Save Us in 2022, further establishing her presence in the filmmaking landscape. Her ability to blend genres and tackle complex themes has positioned her as a rising talent in contemporary cinema.
