Jennifer Welles was an American adult film star renowned for her work in both softcore and hardcore genres during the 1970s. Her acting journey commenced in the late 1960s within the sexploitation category. In addition to her film career, Welles gained recognition as a fetish model, featuring in publications like Bizarre. Under the pseudonym "Liza Duran," she appeared in a range of softcore sexploitation and "roughie" grindhouse films produced in New York. Some notable titles from her early career include Sex by Advertisement (1967), Career Bed, Submission, and This Sporting House, all released in 1969 and directed by Henri Pachard.
Among her extensive filmography, Welles is perhaps best known for her role in Inside Jennifer Welles (1977), a project she claimed to have directed, although it was actually helmed anonymously by veteran director Joseph W. Sarno. Welles also had a brief stint in mainstream cinema, with a notable appearance in The Groove Tube alongside Chevy Chase.
