Rich Ceraulo Ko was born on a U.S. Air Force base in Bitburg, Germany, where his father, Richard Loreto Ceraulo, served as a Master Sergeant, and his mother, Yang Cha Ko, dedicated herself to homemaking. His childhood was marked by frequent relocations due to his father's military career, ultimately leading the family to Long Island, New York. Rich began his academic journey studying biology and pre-medicine at New York University but later shifted his focus to the arts, transferring to the Tisch School of the Arts. There, he honed his craft under the guidance of Doug Moston at the Actors Studio.

Rich's professional journey took off with his appearance in the Broadway production of *Flower Drum Song*. Shortly thereafter, he relocated to Los Angeles to explore opportunities in film and television. His cinematic debut came alongside Kevin Bacon in James Wan's *Death Sentence*, paving the way for numerous roles in both independent films and television series.
