Mieko Harada
Mieko Harada (原田 美枝子, Harada Mieko), born on December 26, 1958, in Tokyo, Japan, is a distinguished actress known for her diverse performances across film and television. She embarked on her acting career in 1974 and has since built an impressive portfolio that includes a variety of roles in both motion pictures and dramas.
One of Harada's most iconic performances came when she portrayed Lady Kaede in Akira Kurosawa's acclaimed 1985 film, *Ran*. She further expanded her collaboration with Kurosawa in the 1990 film *Dreams*. Additionally, she lent her voice to the character Kaguya in the beloved 2002 anime film, *InuYasha the Movie: The Castle Beyond the Looking Glass*. Since 2007, Harada has continued to engage audiences through her work in television dramas.
