Mang Hoi

Mang Hoi (Chinese: 孟海) was a notable figure in the Hong Kong film industry, particularly recognized as a key member of Sammo Hung's stunt team during the 1980s. Frequently collaborating with legends like Jackie Chan and Yuen Biao, he showcased his versatility by alternating between stunt performances and on-screen roles. His endearing appearance, characterized by a youthful face and modest stature, earned him a cherished place in the hearts of Hong Kong cinema fans.

Mang's journey began at Madame Fan Fok-fa's Opera School, where he trained in the traditional arts before transitioning into stunt work and eventually landing more significant acting roles. Throughout his career, he garnered acclaim, including a Best Supporting Acting award for his performance in the film "Yes Madam." Although he stepped back from the film scene in the early 1990s, he made brief appearances in projects like "Ah Kam" and "The Extra."

In addition to his successful career, Mang Hoi is the brother of renowned female kung fu actress Kitty Meng Chui. He is also known for his past relationship with action star Cynthia Rothrock and contributed as a director to her film "Lady Reporter/Blonde Fury." A proud member of the Sammo Hung Stuntmen's Association, Mang Hoi's legacy continues to resonate within the world of martial arts cinema.
