Eliza Sam

Eliza Sam is a prominent Canadian actress who has made a name for herself in Hong Kong's entertainment industry, currently signed with TVB. Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, Sam hails from a Hoa family with Chinese heritage from Vietnam, with her grandparents originating from Guangdong and Fujian. She gained initial recognition by winning the Miss Chinese Vancouver Pageant in 2009, followed by her triumph at the Miss Chinese International Pageant in 2010.

In addition to her pageant success, Sam has dedicated her time to philanthropic efforts, supporting organizations like the Canadian Cancer Society and S.U.C.C.E.S.S. In 2010, she was honored with the World Chinese Entrepreneur Scholarship during the 4th World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention, recognizing her contributions and potential.

Eliza graduated from Kwantlen Polytechnic University in 2010, earning a bachelor's degree in Business along with diplomas in Marketing Management and Fashion Design and Technology. Before her pageant career, she worked as an English teacher.

Her journey in entertainment began with her participation in the Miss Chinese International Pageant, where she candidly discussed her struggles with Cantonese and committed a year to improve her language skills, ultimately leading to her victory. Following her win, she joined TVB and continued to build her acting career. In December 2016, she announced her engagement to Joshua Ngo, and they married shortly thereafter. In June 2018, Sam revealed that her eight-year contract with TVB had concluded, marking a new chapter in her professional journey.
