Brian Hibbard was a talented Welsh actor and singer, best known as the lead singer of the original a cappella group, the Flying Pickets. The band gained fame in the early 1980s, particularly with their hit cover of "Only You," which showcased Hibbard's distinctive vocal talent.

After the Flying Pickets, Hibbard transitioned into television, where he made a significant mark as an actor. He portrayed garage mechanic Doug Murray in the long-running soap opera "Coronation Street" and played Bobby-John Downes in "Emmerdale." Hibbard was also known for his role as Johnny Mac in the Welsh-language series "Pobol y Cwm." His film credits include a memorable performance in the 1997 cult classic "Twin Town," where he embodied the flamboyant "Karaoke King" Dai Rees.
