Allan Trautman

Allan Trautman, a native of Brooklyn, New York, has carved a unique niche in the world of performance arts. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics and Drama from Washington University in St. Louis, where his journey into puppetry began with his initial role on the educational series "The Letter People."

Trautman further honed his craft by earning a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the California Institute of the Arts in Valencia. During his time at CalArts, he showcased his talent at the Colorado Shakespeare Festival, captivating audiences over two consecutive summers.

After completing his education, Trautman remained in Los Angeles and collaborated with renowned creators Sid and Marty Krofft. His career took a significant turn when he joined the Muppets in 1990, contributing to the beloved attraction MuppetVision 3D, which continues to delight visitors at Disney theme parks to this day.

In 1991, he took on a pivotal role with the Jim Henson Company, working on the groundbreaking series "Dinosaurs," where his skills as a puppeteer were showcased extensively. Throughout his career, Trautman has gained recognition for his versatile performances and has become a significant figure in the world of puppetry and television entertainment.
