Anna Francolini
Anna Francolini, born on October 30, 1973, in Chertsey, Surrey, is a distinguished English actress known for her versatility in musical and theatrical performances. She received her education at Bristol Grammar School and pursued her passion for theatre at the University of Warwick, honing her craft with the National Youth Theatre.
Francolini's early career included notable roles in productions like *Godspell* and *Oliver*, but it was her performances at the Donmar Warehouse that garnered critical acclaim. She starred in Stephen Sondheim’s acclaimed musicals *Company* (1995) and *Merrily We Roll Along* (2000), and portrayed the Baker's Wife in *Into the Woods* at the Royal Opera House in 2007. Her portrayal of Jean Brodie in *The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie* earned her the 2009 TMA Award for Best Performance in a Play, showcasing her talent at the Royal & Derngate.
