Dirk Müller, born on November 18, 1975, in Burbach, Germany, is a distinguished racing driver recognized for his contributions to various motorsport disciplines. He made a significant mark in the 2008 American Le Mans Series, where he competed for Tafel Racing. Notably, he is not related to fellow racers Jörg Müller and Yvan Muller.

Müller's racing career took off in 1996 when he clinched a victory in a Formula 3 event at the Nürburgring. His breakthrough in endurance racing came in 1998 when he triumphed in the GT1 class at the prestigious 24 Hours of Daytona, leading to his first major title—the German Porsche Cup. In 2000, he added the ALMS GT title to his accolades.

From 2002 to 2005, Müller partnered with Jörg Müller in driving BMW 3 Series E46 touring cars for Team Deutschland, a squad managed by Schnitzer. They transitioned to the E90 model in 2006, which was based on the BMW 320si limited edition. A highlight of their touring car career was winning the 2004 24 Hours Nürburgring alongside Hans-Joachim Stuck in a BMW M3 GTR V8. In 2005, they finished a commendable second place.

After his stint in touring cars, Müller joined Ferrari’s AF Corse team, where he achieved significant success in the FIA GT Championship, winning the GT2 class. In 2008, he continued to showcase his skills in the American Le Mans Series, racing a Ferrari F430 GTC alongside Dominik Farnbacher in the GT2 class.
